History

The UENR Library was established at the inception of the University in the year 2012 at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region present day Bono Region of Ghana. It is an emerging academic Library with excellent facilities and resources to meet the needs of our students, faculty and the general public. Currently, the library is adequately stocked with information resources in the fields of Engineering, Sciences, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Technology and Geosciences.

In order to update our information/collection, the library has subscribed to relevant and current journals, local newspapers and publications from educational and informational institutions with bibliographic and reference sources. The library is a member of the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Ghana (CARLIGH) which provides access to online resources and training for its members. The library’s collection consists of both electronic and print resources which provide essential background reading for all the courses offered at the University. The library also stocks theses written by students which are only for reference purposes. Presently, UENR has two libraries with the main library situated at the Sunyani Campus and a satellite library at the Dormaa Ahenkro campus.
